DX-3000 Electronic GPS Unit

ProShot Golf has recently introduced its latest product innovation, the DX-3000. This new product will do everything that the Dx-1800 can do and more. One of the most important benefits with the new system, is that it will be completely self-contained. That means there will be no external antennas on the roof of the cart and there will be no radio/transceiver mounted under the seat.

Besides providing a much cleaner appearance, the DX-3000, because of the elimination of cabling and wiring harnesses, will also be far less vulnerable to accidental disconnection of wires and/or shorts. Trouble-shooting will be eliminated. If for any reason the cart unit isn’t working properly, it can be easily removed via a new quick disconnect feature and a provided spare unit can be readily installed. Cart fleet change-outs, when they occur, will no longer be a major undertaking.

The DX-3000 has also been designed with some significant internal improvements. First, the DX-3000 has been equipped with a WAAS receiver. That means even in the unlikely event that the base station is down, all carts will still receive accurate distance measurements and playing tips. While loss of a base unit is rare, it does happen occasionally. Most of the time, it is due to a power outage at the clubhouse and sometimes is due to an inadvertent unplugging of the system. In any case, such events will be invisible to the golfer and the Course Management System will become fully operational again as soon as power is restored.

The DX-3000 has added software capabilities including provisions for selecting cart path only for any hole, any grouping of holes, or all holes on any given day. The DX-3000 software also will allow for inputting the number of riders in each cart for better record keeping. The new software will also provide for identifying carts that are carrying handicapped golfers so they will not receive constant warnings because of driving in normally restricted areas, such as within 25 yards of the green.

The DX-3000 is the product that ProShot Golf will be installing on all new installations. Existing DX-1800 installations are all in the process of being converted to the DX-3000. In keeping with ProShot Golf’s tradition of providing the best product at the lowest price, lease rates for the DX-3000 on most courses will still be less that one dollar per player per round.

In all, ProShot Golf's specific niche in the GPS industry, is to provide a distance measuring devise for golfers, that displays all yardage necessary (yardage to hazards, to carry hazards and to the front, center and back of the green) in order to choose the proper club selection and keep the game moving forward. We have purposely chosen to steer away from adding bells and whistles, that may ultimately serve as distractions from playing the game.

The DX3000 GPS system is mounted on the steering column and sits suspended in between the driver and passenger. The screen viewing is in line of site and does not obstruct any of the driver's view. As mentioned, golfers will receive all pertinent yardage information without touching any buttons, in addition to, drive distances and playing tips from the golf professionals.
